It was lovely to hear other people’s stories on the Zoom last night.
I got great advice from a parent once in another group and it’s probably more relevant to people further into their journey rather then just starting out but anyway I thought I’d share since it really helped me and still helps me.
Just simply to look back on what has been achieved so far.
If I find myself slipping into worry mode or anxious over my sons progress they suggested I look back a year ago.
It really helps me as I look back a year and go over any wins in my head no matter how small and it keeps me positive and focused, I try remember that any wins no matter how small show he can and will move in the right direction and to stay patient and keep positive and believe in him and myself.
I also love reading success stories so I try share little wins too.
I will use the #suggested by Anna for the other group and post some of these in the next few days.

Just wanted to send everyone that I've met in the master classes love and patience and you are all in the right place.
I become a bit ocd with things I'm passionate about and care for, and have been reading and attending multiple webinars etc on sm.
Anna's course is truly a gem (haven't finished) but the way she has organized everything and the resources she provides us, all of it really is amazing.
We are all in the right place with her!! I'm sad i wasn't able to log on today, and actually share this "in person"

Sharing two wins.
First, in the bonus section of the course, the video: Selective Mutism: What is fear? Video for children in primary school - I decided to watch this video with my 9 year old SM child.
As we were watching the video she told me that she could relate to it and it helped her understand more her fear and then told me she wanted to shrink her fear.
We found the video so helpful and it opened her eyes a bit in understanding that she's not the only one who has fears.
The second win was, we had a play date with a friend from school and after being in the park for 2 hours, my daughter finally shared her voice with her friend and she even apologized for not speaking in school but that she was too scared.
Her friend was so understanding but mostly happy that she finally heard my daughter's voice.
We stayed at the park for an extra hour because the girls would not stop talking to each other.
I could literally see a heavy load being lifted from daughter's shoulder after sharing her voice!

We are getting on great with the new course and appreciate the smaller sections and layout.
It has been so helpful for us and our SM journey, we would never be able to know half of what Anna has been able to teach us without it.
A big thank you to Anna for our consultation too, it was such a weight lifted to have someone support us and understand our life with SM, not to mention all the advice!

So Sarah Luisa has done amazing progress so far compare to when she started even more that what we could ever expect thanks to Anna Biavati strategies but we know there still more work to do.
And everyone around my daughter has still much more to work on as a team. My word for this week would be.... keep pushing ...
